With most bobbins available on the market, the main line slides through the guard. With the Stow Bobbin, however, the line is clamped in place, making even the most tentative bites registered without a problem. Now to ensure that the Stow principle works correctly, it is important to use the system with a short chain. This means that during a hard run the Stow Bobbin will automatically fall off the line so with the Stow Bobbin you will never again be bothered by a bobbin that gets caught in the line while picking up the rod.

The Stow Stix are magnetic, these are the small chain adapters that connect the guard to the foot (Hockey stick) under the bite alarm. Because they are connected to the hockey stick by a magnet, storing and/or changing Stow Bobbins/parts is very easy. Because the system comes with two different lengths of Stow Sticks the Stow Bobbins can be used with all types of bite alarm systems without losing the Stow principle.

To transport the Stow Bobbins safely we have made the Stow Away Cases out of hard plastic. Also, this storage system features a magnetic bottom and closure. This makes it possible to store the Stow Bobbins like this without the possibility of the chain getting tangled.
